Spirit Dance Ranch is a small ranch located in northeast Florida.  After raising, breeding and training Paso Finos for 26 years age caught up with me.  Not quite fast enough to be working 650 lb yearlings or re-training 1,000 lb rougue stallions, I decided to give up horses for a living and settle down with just a couple of favorite riding horses.

 

That was so short lived, maybe a couple of months at most.  Then I was introduced to the wonderful world of miniatures.  After months of research I was ready to buy.  In 16 mos I had acquired 5 of the little wonders.   All from different bloodlines, with similiar bodies and dispositions and with great names showing on their pedigrees.  Then within the last 4 of those 16 mos I was blessed with 4 of my own beautiful foals.

 

I'm in my 70's and still follow my grandmother's  advice.  "Have patience, save your money, and then buy the best you can afford."  All the animals had to earn their own keep until they were retired.  So with this in mind I purchased mares who could pay for themselves in the foals they produced.  I always have tried, no matter what breed, to keep the numbers at 5 mares, 2 stallions and 2 or 3 foals a year.  But now I'm going to scale down to 3 mares, 2 stallions and 2 foals a year.

 

After 16 mos of looking for a new location, and paying for boarding, I am going to sell my two best mares.   Excellent mares with excellent prices. I also  will be leasing my youngest stallion for a year, Ash.
